The vehicles listed below are being recalled for safety reasons.

Not all models are always involved. To find out if your vehicle is involved,

If your vehicle is being recalled by the manufacturer,

it is your responsibility as a vehicle operator to see that it gets repaired.

January 2006 Recalls

 

D-Chrysler

 

1999-2000 Breeze, Cirrus, Stratus 2.4> High pressure power steering hose develops a leak which could cause an underhood fire.

 

Honda

2006 Civic 2-door> Failure of the front passenger Occupant Detection System to suppress air bag deployment when an infant or small child is in the front passenger seat.

 

Lotus                 

2005 Elise> Gear shift lever on the 6-speed manual transmission breaks resulting in the inability to change gears.

 

Tires

Michelin tires> Pilot Sport 255/35ZR20 97Y may develop a blister in the sidewall which can blowout suddenly.

 

Other

Federal-Mogul fuel pumps> Mechanical pumps P/N M847 sold by NAPA and Carter contain a defective valve housing that leaks fuel.

 

December 2005 Recalls

 

D-Chrysler

2006 Durango> Anti-lock brake system control module software program may cause the rear brakes to lock up during certain braking conditions causing loss of vehicle control in certain conditions.

 

General Motors

2006 Avalanche ,Canyon, Colorado, Envoy, Escalade, Escalade ESV, EXT, Express, Hummer H2, Hummer H3, Montana SV6, Rainier, Saturn relay, Savana, Sierra, Silverado, SSR, Suburban, Tahoe, Terraza, Trailblazer, EXT, Uplander, Yukon, Yukon Xl> Failure to conform to DOT requirements with tire and loading information labels listing an inaccurate vehicle capacity weight.

 

Isuzu

2006 Ascender> Failure to conform to DOT requirements with tire and loading information labels listing an inaccurate vehicle capacity weight.

 

Mercedes Benz

2005-2006 C Class (equipped with sport model steering wheels)> During low risk air bag testing an out-of-position unbelted small crash test dummy wasn’t properly restrained indicating a potential for injury. Dealers will install a new air bag inflator module.

 

Toyota

2006 Lexus IS250> inadequate clearance between the accelerator pedal linkage and a plastic pad embedded into the vehicle's carpet causing accelerator pedal to become stuck resulting in unintended acceleration. Dealers will inspect the clearance of the gas pedal and carpet, replace the pedal assembly with a revised assembly, and modify the carpet.

 

Motorcycles

Honda 2006 VT750C> Failure of the wire harness plug for the handlebar-mounted headlight switch causes sudden loss of headlights. Dealers will replace both left and right handle switch assemblies.

Suzuki 2005-2006 VL800, VZ800> improperly routed ignition switch wiring harness rubs against the clutch cable/throttle cable causing a short circuit resulting in engine stall or loss of the lights. Dealers will re-route the wiring harness, replace the lock set, ignition switch, and clutch/throttle cable.
